Spokesperson/Public Information Officer (July 2016 – present ) Working as the head of Public Relations for this large government agency which has nearly 2,000 employees and oversees 306 designated park locations on nearly 5,000 acres around O`ahu.

ABC News Affiliate (KITV)

Videojournalist   (April 2016 – July 2016) This position combined the duties of a field reporter and cameraman. Responsible for producing, filming, interviewing, writing, editing and presenting the story in a timely and accurate manner.   

Live Truck Operator (Sept. 2010 – July 2016) Executed regular live shot coverage for morning, afternoon and evening news shows using microwave technology and TVU portable live technology (live backpack & fanny pack).

Internet Editor (Dec. 2008 – Sept. 2015) Managed the KITV website, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts by controlling & proofreading content, writing & updating stories and posting video & pictures.

Cameraman/Video Editor (April 2008 – April 2016) Used Sony cameras for shooting news and sports stories, while also conducting interviews and reporting information. Regularly produced and edit on-air stories for all evening and morning shows using the Adobe Premier editing program and ENPS. Used previous knowledge of Sony PD-170, V1-U, DSR-400, Ikegami cameras and Final Cut Pro, and Avid Newscutter.

Assignment Editor (May 2008 – May 2016) Worked this management-level position for several different shifts. During that time I organized and managed all the KITV newsroom resources (cameramen, reporters and producers) to properly investigate and report daily and future news stories. This included researching story ideas, obtaining spot news information, networking with sources at multiple levels of state, county and independent agencies, writing on-air scripts and determining the journalistic feasibility of story ideas. I

Associate Producer (April 2007 – May 2011) This multi-faceted job involved: coordinating the efforts of all newsroom staff, organizing file tapes for broadcast, checking local sources for possible stories, following up on spot-news stories, posting evening news stories on the KITV website and creating weather forecast reports in the absence of the meteorologist using WSI Intellicast.

Intern (August 2006 – March 2007) Became acquainted with jobs of associate producer, reporter, editor and cameraman by shadowing and filling-in for professional employees.
